Elemental Consulting Group is a leading energy and sustainability consultancy supporting clients across the UK. We are seeking a qualified engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to join as an Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Consultant.

In this role, you will help organizations reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and achieve Net Zero targets. Responsibilities include conducting site audits, developing technical solutions, and leading projects on energy performance and low-carbon technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform energy audits and site surveys across various sectors.
• Identify opportunities for energy performance improvements and carbon reduction.
• Develop feasibility studies and reports on technologies like solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, metering, CHP, BMS, and LED retrofits.
• Advise on strategies to meet Net Zero and comply with energy legislation.
• Utilize modelling tools for design and evaluation of energy systems.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for project delivery.
• Deliver training and awareness courses.
• Stay updated on energy policies, grants, and funding options.
• Manage multiple projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in energy consultancy or building services
• Strong knowledge of energy systems and decarbonization
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Full UK driving license (company car provided)
• Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., CEng, IEng, Energy Institute, CIBSE)
• Familiarity with public sector energy frameworks and carbon reporting standards
• Knowledge of funding routes like Salix, PSDS, or Local Energy Hubs
• Experience with energy modelling software and BMS systems
