Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Energy Consultant to join UK Energy Advisory, focusing on digital transformation, data-driven solutions, and decarbonisation strategies across infrastructure and built environment projects.

You will lead advisory delivery, manage client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to business development, with emphasis on digital tools, analytics and digital twins.

Qualifications

• Significant consultancy/engineering experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure or similar sectors.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, policy, decarbonisation and energy transition.
• Experience in energy modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and techno-economic assessment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
• Proven client-facing, business development, and stakeholder management skills.
• Master's degree, PhD, or chartered status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Technical advisory across project lifecycles (pre-feasibility to FEED and Owners' Engineer).
• Identify scope gaps, risks and deliverables for robust outcomes.
• Lead techno-economic modelling and delivery process improvements.
• Translate complex requirements into practical solutions with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop digital tools and best practices for delivery.
• Support business development and client relationships.
