Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior / Principal Energy Consultant with strong digital and data capabilities for the UK Energy Advisory business. The role focuses on embedding digital tools, data-driven decision making and process optimisation in energy services across infrastructure, industrial and built environments.

You will lead advisory projects, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while travelling across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant consultancy/engineering experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, policy, decarbonisation, and energy transition.
• Experience in energy modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and techno-economic assessment.
• Able to communicate complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
• Proven client-facing and business development skills.
• Degree in Engineering/Math/CS/Data Science; Masters/PhD/chartered status desirable.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead advisory projects, manage client relationships, and support delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and develop technical capabilities within the team.
• Develop innovative digital tools and data-driven approaches for delivery.
• Engage in business development and prepare compelling proposals.
