Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior / Principal Energy Consultant to join our UK Energy Advisory team. You will lead advisory projects, work with engineers and digital specialists, and drive data-driven energy solutions across infrastructure, industrial and built environments.

You will shape techno-economic analyses, modelling and forecasting, while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development. This role offers hybrid working options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy or engineering in energy, utilities, infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, policy and decarbonisation.
• Experience in energy modelling, forecasting and techno-economic assessment.
• Able to communicate complex technical information to varied stakeholders.
• Proven client-facing, business development and project leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory across energy projects and lead delivery teams.
• Identify risks, gaps and deliverables to ensure robust technical and commercial outcomes.
• Develop delivery processes to improve efficiency, consistency and quality.
• Develop digital tools and approaches to enhance project delivery and decision making.
• Support business development, client engagement and thought leadership within Jacobs Energy Advisory.
