Job summary

Affinia is recruiting an Employee Relations Manager to lead complex ER matters across multiple offices. You will provide expert advice on employment law, ACAS guidance, and company policy, coaching managers and partnering with the People team to ensure fair, compliant outcomes.

The role covers acquisitions, TUPE transfers, restructures and integration activities, with a focus on risk management and positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an Employee Relations role.
• Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance and HR best practice.
• Experience managing high-risk grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations and organisational change.
• Excellent report writing and letter drafting skills.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, TUPE transfers or organisational change.
• Experience supporting Employment Tribunal claims.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a varied caseload of complex employee relations matters.
• Draft high-quality ER documentation including investigation reports and letters.
• Advise managers and the wider People team on policy, compliance and best practice.
• Coach managers to handle ER issues in a fair, consistent, commercially focused way.
• Support TUPE transfers and integration activities during acquisitions.
