Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Emergency Practitioner to work across Gloucester and Cheltenham EDs. You will be an autonomous clinician with expertise in minor injuries and illnesses, capable of prescribing and using Sunrise electronic records.

The role includes night shifts and a lead for junior staff, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care across ages. The post requires current UK registration; you will assess, treat, refer or discharge patients, and

Formación

• Registered with NMC or HCPC as appropriate
• Experience in urgent/unscheduled care, minor injuries/illness
• Ability to prescribe medications per BNF and local guidelines

Responsabilidades

• Work as autonomous practitioner in urgent care in Gloucester/ Cheltenham EDs and Nurse Led Service at Cheltenham General Hospital (night shifts).
• Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and judgement to independently provide high standard care for all ages.
• Hold total episode of care responsibility including assessment, diagnosis, treatment/delegation and discharge.
• Provide clinical leadership and support junior staff, especially overnight in Cheltenham ED.
