Job summary

EdgeConneX seeks a technically accomplished, delivery-oriented Senior Data Center Design Engineer for EMEA to ensure the integrity of mechanical design and equipment validation across a portfolio of campuses. The role interfaces with Global Design & Engineering and supports field teams with practical HVAC expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required.
• Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory; professional credentials valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior mechanical discipline authority for EMEA campuses, ensuring designs meet GD&E standards.
• Lead design reviews, FATs, and commissioning-readiness assessments for critical mechanical scope.
• Validate mechanical readiness and support TPM/DM site teams; escalate deviations as needed.
• Route deviations for site-specific constraints through the approved process.
• Provide informal technical leadership and mentoring to regional SMEs across the portfolio.
• Review equipment specs, HVAC/piping designs, and CFD analyses for conformance to standards.
