Job summary

Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust (Hewitt Fertility Centre) is seeking a permanent embryologist to join a team of 35 scientists. Role includes weekend/on-call duties; HCPC registration and embryology lab experience are essential.

This NHS post may require cover at both Liverpool and Knutsford sites. The successful candidate will perform a range of laboratory procedures including semen analysis, embryo handling and cryopreservation, ICSI and time-lapse methodologies, contributing to

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and experience in an Embryology laboratory.
• Experience performing clinical workload in Embryology and training junior staff.
• Weekend and on-call rota involvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform all laboratory procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Semen analysis, sperm preparation, oocyte/embryo handling, and cryopreservation.
• ICSI, time-lapse technologies and other micromanipulation techniques.
• Select embryos best suited for transfer and cryopreservation.
