The Senior Embryologist will participate in all aspects of embryology, mentor staff, and assist in the running of specialized programs. Qualifications

• Professional experience as an embryologist is required.
• Biopsy trained; able to participate in the embryo biopsy programme.
• Experience in routine embryology including ICSI and IMS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the donor sperm bank and the PGTA programme.

This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday with rotational weekends

The post will also require you to participate in an on-call system which is set up for the cryo alarm.

About the Role

The Senior Embryologist is expected to perform all aspects of the routine embryology service offered by the Fertility Unit. Routine laboratory maintenance and administration will also be a requirement of the post. The position requires five days per week and a rota of one in four Saturdays, shared with the other Senior Embryologist.

Duties and Responsibilities

• All aspects of routine embryology
• All aspects of routine andrology
• Responsible for mentoring existing embryologists
• Participate in all aspects of routine embryology including ICSI and IMS
• Be able to participate in the embryo biopsy programme
• Participate in the PGTA programme
• Assist in running the donor sperm bank

Skills & Experience

• Hold a BSc in Life Science and be ACE certificated or equivalent with experience of clinical ICSI
• Previous experience as an embryologist
• Biopsy trained
