Job summary

A leading fertility centre in London is seeking a Senior Embryologist to enhance their Embryology Laboratory team. This role involves performing clinical embryology procedures such as IVF and ICSI, managing laboratory duties, and collaborating with specialists in reproductive medicine. A higher degree in Reproductive Science, HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist, and a minimum of three years of experience are essential. Qualifications

• Embryology training must be completed – ACE certificate or STP is required.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical embryology experience preferred.
• Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a Clinical Scientist is essential.
• Experience with latest assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
• Proven track record of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform all clinical embryology work, including egg collections and IVF.
• Conduct administrative duties associated with the laboratory.
• Ensure quality management duties associated with the laboratory.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Contribute to clinic protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in patient education and counselling and potential clinical research.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Embryologist to work as an integral part of our Embryology Laboratory team to provide fertility services and treatments to our diverse patient population. You will join a collaborative team of specialists working at the forefront of reproductive medicine. You will report directly to the Laboratory Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• All clinical embryology work, including egg collections, IVF, ICSI, embryo assessments, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation by vitrification, and all andrology work, including semen assessments, semen preparation and semen cryopreservation.
• All administrative duties associated with the laboratory.
• Quality management duties associated with the laboratory, including audit.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and support staff to provide optimal patient care.
• Contribute to clinic protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in patient education and counselling.
• Opportunity to engage in clinical research and publications.

• Higher degree in Reproductive Science or similar.

• Evidence of continuing professional development.

• IMSI, time lapse microscopy and AI is experience is an advantage.

• Minimum of 3 years clinical embryology experience (UK/EU/US experience is preferred).

• Evidence of your previous individual lab KPIs will be required.
