Job summary

Ultron Technologies, part of Handicare Stairlifts & Savaria UK, seeks a Senior Embedded Software/Hardware Engineer to own our mobility technology stack for stairlift systems. You’ll develop embedded software in C/C++, design mixed-signal hardware, and lead hardware-software integration in a multinational setting.

Ideal candidates have strong hardware and firmware skills, ARM Cortex-M experience, and a track record mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• Significant experience in electronics hardware and embedded systems development.
• Strong experience designing mixed-signal circuits and using schematic capture/PCB tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue and digital electronic systems (motor control experience advantageous).
• Create schematics and PCB layouts; lead board bring-up and validation.
• Develop embedded firmware (C/C++) for MCU/processor-based systems.
• Integrate communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• Support prototype builds, design verification, EMC testing, and production readiness.
• Contribute to system architecture and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
