Job summary

OnTarget Communications is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop embedded systems across the full product lifecycle. You will contribute to software architecture, hardware integration, and high-performance solutions in a hands-on role in Chesterfield, on-site.

The ideal candidate brings strong C/C++ expertise, proficiency with Qt/QML, and experience with CAN/LIN protocols and RTOS/Embedded Linux.

Qualifications

• Proven embedded software development for microcontroller-based real-time systems using C/C++.
• Strong Qt Framework and QML experience for UI development.
• Experience integrating software with embedded hardware and peripherals.
• Knowledge of embedded communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
• Familiarity with RTOS and Embedded Linux is advantageous.
• Experience with automated testing and CI processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for embedded and real-time systems.
• Contribute to software architecture, system design, and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
