Job summary

Tedd Engineering is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test and optimise software across embedded platforms, from microcontrollers to HMIs using Qt/QML. You will write efficient code, integrate hardware and software, and ensure performance and reliability in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in embedded software
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Experience with embedded communications such as CAN/LIN
• Experience with Qt framework and QML programming language
• Familiarity with SVN/Git version control
• Willingness to travel for machine testing (primarily to Northern Ireland)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop safety-critical, real-time embedded software for large-scale mobile machinery.
• Develop robust Qt/QML applications with efficient software architecture.
• Collaborate with programmers, designers and stakeholders to define requirements and meet milestones.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in existing applications with timely fixes.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Promote best practices across teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the department.
• Execute special projects as needed.
