Job summary

Unity is seeking a senior software engineer to join our Embedded OS Platforms team, driving the runtime and editor workflows for embedded platforms such as Embedded Linux, QNX and Android Automotive OS. You will enable multi-screen, high-performance experiences in vehicles and digital cockpits.

You will work with cross-functional teams, optimize performance on constrained hardware, and contribute to customer-facing investigations while shaping platform strategy and technical direction for

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++/C# within multithreaded codebases.
• Experience developing for Embedded Linux, QNX or Android Automotive OS.
• Strong graphics experience with Vulkan or OpenGL ES.

Responsibilities

• Bring Unity's RT3D runtime to embedded platforms (Embedded Linux, QNX, Android Automotive OS) with new features and integrations.
• Build the graphics and windowing layer for multi-screen, multi-touch dashboards and HMIs.
• Profile and optimize runtime performance, memory, startup time on constrained SoCs across platforms.
• Collaborate with automotive OEMs and customers as a technical contact, resolving bottlenecks.
• Raise engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and automated testing.
