Job summary

Unity in Brighton is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to bring the Real Time 3D runtime to embedded platforms such as Embedded Linux, QNX and Android Automotive OS. You will integrate Unity into native Android apps and craft the graphics/windowing layers for multi-screen cockpits.

The role emphasizes performance tuning on resource-constrained hardware, direct collaboration with automotive customers, and leadership in cross-team initiatives within a small, experienced group.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++/C# for embedded systems.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, QNX and Android Automotive OS.
• Strong debugging, profiling and optimization on constrained hardware.
• Collaborates with customers and cross-functional teams in a tech setting.

Responsibilities

• Bring Unity's Real Time 3D runtime to embedded platforms (Embedded Linux, QNX, AOSP) with new features and integrations.
• Integrate Unity into native Android apps and build multi-screen, multi-touch HMIs.
• Profile and optimize runtime performance, memory, startup/load time on constrained SoCs.
• Partner with automotive OEMs as technical contact and support production readiness.
• Raise the engineering bar through design discussions, code reviews and testing.
