Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group is partnering with a long-established electronics business in Southampton to recruit a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. You'll lead embedded software development for a new product line, shaping firmware from design through to manufacture, in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires strong Embedded C/C++, RTOS knowledge, bare-metal programming, and hands-on debugging, with a hybrid work pattern (3 days onsite).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full lifecycle embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++.
• Experience with bare metal programming.
• Knowledge of RTOS.
• Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, CAN is advantageous.
• Ability to read, interpret, and debug firmware against hardware schematics.

• Drive embedded software development for a new product line currently in design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Design, develop, and debug embedded software for real-time applications.
