Leonardo in Luton seeks an experienced Lead Software Engineer to take pivotal Technical Authority roles on EW and Future Combat Air programmes. You will shape software architecture, drive DO-178C compliant development, and mentor teams across systems, hardware, and firmware integration.

Qualifications

• Several years of embedded software engineering experience in aerospace, defence, or safety-critical domains.
• Define software architecture and design strategies aligned with platform goals.
• Hands-on DO-178C software development and lifecycle from requirements to certification.
• Experience leading technical governance and architectural design.
• Mentor and uplift engineering teams to improve software engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
