Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Software Engineer for the Runtime Platform in London. You will work on software that powers autonomous driving experiments across our vehicle fleet, delivering a stable, scalable stack and performance-focused improvements.

The role sits within the Robot Software and Runtime Platform teams, collaborating with model developers and scientists to accelerate data collection and feature development. Hybrid work and core hours are offered.

Qualifications

Proficient in high-performance embedded Linux software development in C++.
Experience profiling and optimizing system bottlenecks.
Strong background in OS scheduling and computer architecture.
Proven ability to evaluate experiments methodically.
Experience with multi-threaded synchronization.

Responsibilities

Investigate latency and performance bottlenecks across the software stack.
Instrument code with profiling tools to collect performance data and identify optimizations.
Integrate and evaluate new profiling tools to benchmark performance and baselines.
Collaborate with teams to prioritize optimization impact.
Optimize critical code paths to improve runtime efficiency and reduce latency.
