Job summary

Wayve seeks an Engineering Manager for the Runtime Platform to lead a growing team responsible for on-vehicle frameworks, middleware, performance, and observability foundations. You will coach and grow engineers, own hiring, and set clear technical direction to drive latency-sensitive software in real time.

You'll own the team's roadmap, ensure delivery to align with vehicle platforms, and collaborate with internal Vehicle Software, hardware, and OEM programs to unblock risks and dependencies

Qualifications

• Engineering management experience leading software/systems teams.
• Experience delivering roadmaps through others with ownership of quality and reliability.
• Hands-on depth in embedded software (C++) and real-time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Runtime Platform team, with hiring and coaching as top priorities.
• Drive the team's roadmap, ensure delivery, and align with company goals.
• Set technical direction for latency, profiling, real-time scheduling, and middleware.
• Own runtime foundations across design, frameworks, IPC, performance, and observability.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Software, hardware, OEM programs, and stakeholders to unblock risks.
