KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to deliver modern C++ on Linux in a small, capable R&D team. You will modernise legacy code, work with real-time hardware and collaborate with hardware engineers to ship certified embedded products.

The role focuses on Linux-based middleware and application code, with ownership from requirements through to integration, validation and CI/CD adoption.

Formación

• 5+ years of commercial embedded software development.
• Strong, current commercial experience of modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20).
• Embedded Linux development, debugging with GDB/strace.
• Object-oriented design and UML.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and debug on target with debuggers.

Responsabilidades

• Research, design, develop and debug software for new and existing products.
• Refactor existing code into well-structured modern C++.
• Ensure code meets safety, functionality and performance standards with full testing.
• Participate in code and design reviews and produce clear technical documentation.
• Work closely with hardware engineers and project leads, and provide effort estimates.
• Mentor and support other engineers as the team grows.
