Job summary

SR2 in Reading, UK is seeking a Senior Electronics / Embedded Hardware Engineer to design the next generation of navigation and embedded electronics. This hands-on role focuses on designing complex PCBs and embedded systems, including operation in GPS-denied environments.

You will collaborate with embedded firmware engineers, perform hardware bring-up and debugging, and contribute to aerospace or defense projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electronics design experience.
• Strong background in digital electronics and embedded hardware.
• Proven PCB design experience reaching production or qualified prototype.
• Strong high-speed digital design experience (processors/SoCs, DDR memory and high-speed serial interfaces).
• Experience designing dense, multilayer PCBs yourself using Altium Designer or an equivalent CAD/PCB package.
• Practical understanding of signal integrity and power integrity.
• Experience with sensors and mixed-signal electronics.
• Strong hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging skills.
• Experience working closely with embedded firmware engineers.
• Preferred Previous Experience in Aerospace or Defense.
