Job summary

SR2 REC LTD is seeking a Senior Electronics / Embedded Hardware Engineer to design the next generation of navigation and embedded electronics from Reading, UK. This hands-on role focuses on PCBs and complex embedded systems for operation in GPS-denied environments.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in digital electronics, PCB design, high-speed interfaces, and collaboration with firmware teams, contributing to production-ready hardware.

Qualifications

• HHands-on electronics design experience.
• Strong background in digital electronics and embedded hardware.
• Proven experience in designing PCBs for production or qualified prototypes.
• Experience with high-speed digital design, DDR memory and high-speed interfaces.
• Ability to use Altium Designer or equivalent CAD/PCB package.
• Understanding of signal integrity and power integrity.
• Experience with sensors and mixed-signal electronics.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging skills.
• Collaborates closely with embedded firmware engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design complex PCBs and embedded electronic systems.
• Develop electronics for navigation systems operable in GPS-denied or GPS-jammed environments.
• Lead hardware bring-up and debugging activities and work with firmware engineers.
