Grundfos in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to own firmware and software on RTOS and Linux platforms, connecting sensors and telemetry to cloud services for water utilities. You will lead development from NPI to releases, mentor engineers, and drive automated testing and CI pipelines, while ensuring cyber security and reliable data collection.

Qualifications

5+ years of C/C++ embedded development experience.
Detailed knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS, TCP/IP networking and serial communications (RS-485).
Working knowledge of electronics and systems integration including microcontrollers, ADCs, power supplies, and transceivers.
Understanding of cyber security principles for embedded platforms and experience with CI/build systems.

Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain firmware on RTOS and Linux platforms, ensuring reliable data collection from sensors to cloud/server systems.
Drive automated testing methodologies and CI pipelines to improve release quality.
Mentor less experienced engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices including cyber security.
Break down high-level requirements into measurable tasks and lead development from NPI through to releases.
Resolve escalated customer issues across the full stack and contribute to documentation and training.
