Job summary

Grundfos is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer in Sunderland to design electrical systems for pump solutions. You will develop schematics, perform calculations, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready designs.

The role emphasises safety, documentation, and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical design for controls or automation, a degree in electrical engineering, and experience with EPLAN.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for pump systems and control units.
• Perform electrical calculations, select components and verify designs to meet standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical designs.
• Create and maintain BOMs, specs, and test procedures.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical designs.
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
