Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help establish and scale a new UK electronics manufacturing operation. The role blends hands-on engineering with process development, industrialisation and continuous improvement in a high-growth aerospace/defence setting.

You will lead transfer of electronics manufacturing to the Swindon facility, support NPI, and drive root cause investigations while collaborating with Product Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with SMT and harness assembly processes.
Experience applying IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
Experience in AS9100/ISO9001 regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Developing and improving SMT, through-hole and harness assembly processes.
Leading the transfer of established electronics manufacturing processes into the Swindon facility.
Supporting NPI activities and transitioning electronic assemblies into repeatable volume production.
Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to improve manufacturing performance.
Working closely with Product Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams to drive manufacturing excellence and process improvements.
