Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a lead electronics engineer to lead a team delivering electronic sub-system design in the defence and aerospace sector, guiding from feasibility through to production within a hybrid Hertfordshire-based role.

The position is permanent and full-time, requiring a British nationality and eligibility for SC security clearance. A base salary around £50,000 is offered, with bonus, pension, and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of technical requirements, product configuration and lifecycle management.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate engineers while managing competing priorities.
• Experience planning and controlling engineering work packages, budgets and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers delivering electronic sub-system design and technical definition.
• Guide development from early feasibility and technology assessment through detailed design, qualification and certification.
• Support the transition of products into production, ensuring quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
• Work with manufacturing, mechanical design and other engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain progress.
• Coordinate technical activities, manage stakeholders and oversee delivery against agreed plans and budgets.
