Job summary

Orion Group Life Sciences is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer in Cambourne for a 2-year contract with hybrid work options. The role focuses on board-level hardware development from spec to production, enabling low-power IoT devices and cross‑functional collaboration across the UK, Israel and the United States.

You will design, debug and optimise robust electronics, support verification, and contribute to continuous improvement within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 6–8 years of hands-on board-level hardware development experience.
• Experience from specification through to production release.
• Structured design reviews and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete board-level hardware lifecycle from requirements to production release.
• Guide PCB layout, prototype bring-up, debugging and firmware integration.
• Develop low-power, mixed-signal and wireless designs for production devices.
• Produce clear technical documentation and support design verification and validation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across locations.
