Job summary

PE Global is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer for a 24-month contract in Cambourne. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week onsite.

You will own the full hardware lifecycle, designing digital, analogue and mixed-signal electronics for battery-powered IoT devices, and lead prototype bring-up and verification. Applicants should have a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 6–8 years of hands-on experience, including production release.

Qualifications

  • BSc or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics.
  • 6-8 years hands-on board-level electronics development.
  • Experience taking hardware from spec to production release.
  • Schematic design, component selection and PCB layout guidance.
  • Low-power embedded systems design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own full board-level hardware development lifecycle from requirements to production release.
  • Design and develop digital, analogue and mixed-signal electronics for low-power IoT devices.
  • Select components and develop schematics with PCB layout engineers.
  • Lead prototype bring-up, hardware debugging and firmware/hardware integration.
  • Plan and execute design verification and validation activities.
