Job summary

Chess Dynamics is looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the Electronics team in Horsham, UK. You will set the standards for good engineering practice and work on the design and development of electronic circuits and multi-layer PCB layouts.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in electronic design, strong PCB design expertise, and proficiency in relevant tools such as Altium, OrCAD, and KiCad. The position offers a hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronic design, ideally in a senior or lead role.
• Strong expertise in PCB design, including multi-layer boards and layout best practices.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad or similar).
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI design considerations and compliance.
• Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design.
• Experience generating schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug electronic systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electronic circuits and PCB layouts.
• Liaise with suppliers and partners on component selection.
• Support production and manufacturing teams with technical queries.
• Conduct design reviews, verification, and validation testing.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
