Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to drive research, design and development of digital and analogue electronics within the Hardware Engineering team. You will apply advanced electronic design across high‑reliability environments and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires on‑site work in the UK with potential DV/SC clearance. You will contribute to complex programs, lead design reviews and partner with production to enable fast, right‑first‑time

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in high-speed digital designs with processors/programmable devices.
• Analogue circuit design and switched-mode power supply design.
• Ability to design reliable power supplies and analyse across temperature.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design and verify digital/analogue circuits and PCBs to meet requirements.
• Perform design calculations, simulations, prototyping to estimate performance.
• Develop and verify electronics per Ultra's hardware process.
• Estimate time/effort and manage cost/schedule adherence.
• Provide technical direction across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with production test for volume production readiness.
• Mentor junior staff and possibly lead a project.
• Maintain security of information per Security manual.
