Electus Recruitment is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer in Somerset for a permanent, on-site role. Take ownership of complex electronic designs from concept through production, spanning analogue, digital and RF systems.

You will define architecture, select components, and lead reviews while mentoring engineers and collaborating with customers. Applicants should have a degree in Electronic Engineering and a strong track record in high-density hardware, with SC clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading electronic hardware development.
• Ability to review schematics and engineering documentation.
• Strong analogue, digital and RF design expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of electronic designs from concept to production.
• Lead analogue, digital, RF and mixed-signal hardware development.
• Define architecture, components and design approaches to meet objectives.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, test strategies, and docs.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to shape requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
• Drive engineering process improvements.
