Job summary

SII UK is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design and develop complex electronic systems for defence applications, leading projects across the full product lifecycle from requirements capture and architecture through to design, integration and verification.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, applying high‑end electronics know‑how to deliver high‑performance solutions, contribute to architectures against system requirements and help drive innovation in next‑generation

Qualifications

• Strong experience in electronic circuit and system design.
• Experience in Power, Digital, Analogue, High-Frequency Electronics or Electronics Architecture.
• Experience with electronics design and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of DFT and DFM principles.
• Hands-on experience with testing, integration and fault finding.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design complex electronic circuits, assemblies and systems
• Contribute to electronic architectures against system requirements
• Perform component and subsystem evaluation
• Create electronic schematics and work closely with PCB layout engineers
• Support design optimisation through analysis, modelling and simulation
• Carry out testing, validation, integration and debugging
• Produce electronics specifications and development/verification plans
• Support fault finding and technical investigations
• Ensure designs meet relevant regulatory and engineering standards
