Job summary

Roc Search Europe Limited in Bristol is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to take ownership of electrical and electronic aspects of the product portfolio, with a hands-on focus on troubleshooting, sustaining engineering and reliability improvements.

You will work across engineering, manufacturing and operations, provide technical mentoring, contribute to new designs and communicate solutions to stakeholders, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Around 10 years' experience in a similar electronics engineering role.
• Strong experience with schematic design and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve electrical faults across products.
• Support and improve existing electronic assemblies and products.
• Carry out root cause analysis, troubleshooting and failure investigation.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance and efficiency.
• Support component replacement and obsolescence management.
• Test, modify and redesign existing circuits where required.
• Develop improvements and modifications to existing designs.
• Design and maintain test fixtures and test methods.
• Work with manufacturing and supply chain to resolve technical issues.
• Research alternative components and technologies.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to other engineers.
• Produce technical documentation and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
• Support new designs where required.

Senior Electronics Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving existing products and working hands-on across electronics?

We're working with an established technology business developing high-performance engineering products, and they're looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to take ownership of the electrical and electronic aspects of their existing product portfolio.

This is a hands-on, technically focused role centred around troubleshooting, sustaining engineering, reliability improvements and problem solving, alongside supporting ongoing product development.

The Role

You'll be the technical point of contact for electrical and electronic issues across the business, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and operations to identify problems, implement improvements and maintain product performance.

• Investigating and resolving electrical and electronic faults.

About You

• You'll ideally have:


• A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.


• Around 10 years' experience in a similar electronics engineering role.


• Strong experience with schematic design and PCB layout.


• Experience with both analogue and digital electronics.


• Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
