Job summary

Stockford Recruitment seeks a senior hardware engineer to own electronics development from concept to production. You will lead PCB design, testing and qualification, ensuring EMC and safety compliance across products with global impact.

Join a team that mentors engineers and collaborates with multidisciplinary groups to deliver innovative hardware solutions and lifecycle management from ideation to manufacture.

Qualifications

• Senior hardware engineer with ownership from concept to production.
• Experience with PCB design and EMC/safety considerations.
• Product lifecycle knowledge from concept through manufacture.
• Laboratory testing experience and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electronic and electrical hardware.
• PCB design, schematic capture and product development.
• Hardware testing, validation and qualification.
• EMC and safety compliance design considerations.
• Support products through manufacture and create technical docs.
• Research emerging technologies and provide technical leadership.

Bristol Area (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote)

We're partnered with an innovative engineering business developing cutting-edge hardware solutions used within highly regulated, mission-critical environments.

This is a senior technical position where you'll take ownership of electronic and electrical hardware from concept through to production, helping shape the next generation of products while mentoring other engineers.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading the design and development of electronic and electrical hardware


• PCB design, schematic capture and product development


• Hardware testing, validation and qualification


• Designing for EMC and safety compliance


• Supporting products through manufacture


• Producing technical documentation


• Researching emerging technologies


• Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership


• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams

We're looking for experience in:

• Electronics or Electrical Engineering


• PCB Design (Altium Designer preferred)


• EMC & Safety Standards


• Product lifecycle from concept through manufacture


• Laboratory testing


• Technical leadership / mentoring
