Cortech Talent Solutions Ltd is seeking a hands-on Senior / Principal Electronics Hardware Design Engineer with low-level firmware skills in Cambridge. You will lead electronics hardware and embedded firmware work, including an immediate project to enhance audio functionality, PCB rerouting, and firmware updates for mass production.

You’ll thrive on solving complex problems, building from scratch, and delivering market-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electronics and firmware design.
• Strong skills in schematic capture and PCB layout (Mentor Graphics PADS or similar).

Responsabilités

• Take full ownership of electronics hardware and embedded firmware development from concept to final product.
• Hands-on design, development and testing of electronics hardware and firmware across all products.
• Evaluate new technologies relevant to product development.
• Organise and manage EMC testing and onsite test lab visits with rapid iteration of fixes.
• Create and maintain complete design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and source code.
• Troubleshoot faults at code, component and system level; perform root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing products for performance and cost reduction.
