Job summary

Viper Innovations in Portishead is seeking a Senior Electronics & Electrical Engineer to lead hardware design from concept through to delivery. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.

The role offers hybrid working, 37.5 hours, and a clear path toward Chartered Engineer status, with emphasis on testing, documentation and continuous improvement, plus mentoring and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering discipline with practical hardware experience.
• Experience designing for safety and EMC compliance.
• Experience leading hardware development and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and testing of electrical and electronic hardware.
• Produce specifications, schematics, test procedures and manuals.
• Research emerging hardware technologies and transfer products to manufacture.
• Ensure designs meet British/European/international standards and customer needs.
