Job summary

TEC Partners Limited is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in the UK to lead the design and development of digital, analogue and RF hardware for high‑performance test and measurement systems. You will define specifications, create schematics in Altium, select components, and drive tests and integration across teams.

The role offers leadership of projects from concept to production, with emphasis on reliability, EMI/EMC and cross‑functional collaboration, in a growing electronics

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in hardware design and development.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer.
• Expertise in high‑speed digital, RF, power management and EMI/EMC design.
• Experience in test and measurement, instrumentation, or related industries.
• Familiarity with FPGA design (VHDL/Verilog) or microcontroller‑based systems.
• Understanding of embedded software principles.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of digital, analogue, and RF hardware products.
• Define product and design specifications in collaboration with Product Management.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Select components, perform simulations, and carry out performance analysis.
• Develop and execute test plans for prototypes and final products.
• Conduct debugging and validation using oscilloscopes, logic and spectrum analysers.
• Collaborate with software and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance.
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept to release.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and support production teams.
