Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer specializing in electronics assembly to shape high-reliability production for UAS-related electronics in the UK. The role focuses on developing robust processes for SMT, through-hole, PCB, and harness assemblies within a regulated aerospace environment.

You will lead process validation, PFMEA, and documentation, ensuring IPC workmanship standards and AS9100 compliance while collaborating with Product Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing engineering environments.
Strong background in SMT and through-hole process development.
Experience with PCB assembly and harness assembly.
Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards and AS9100/ISO9001.
Experience with NPI, product industrialisation and production scale-up.

Responsibilities

Develop and industrialise electronic assembly processes including SMT, through-hole, PCB, and harness.
Lead process validation, production readiness, and PFMEA documentation.
Ensure IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 compliance.
Drive continuous improvement to improve yield and throughput.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams across product lifecycles.
