Matchtech is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with specialist expertise in electronics assembly to lead process development and industrialisation for high-reliability electronic assemblies in a regulated aerospace environment.

The role focuses on SMT, through-hole, PCB, and harness assembly, with responsibilities spanning process validation, documentation, and manufacturing transfer to UK operations. Collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing environments.
• Strong SMT and PCB assembly process development skills.
• Experience with NPI and product industrialisation.
• Familiarity with IPC workmanship and AS9100/ISO9001 quality frameworks.
• Ability to own production processes and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and continuously improve electronic assembly processes (SMT, through-hole, PCB, harness).
• Transfer processes into UK production with robust documentation and instructions.
• Lead NPI activities and production-readiness planning.
• Drive PFMEAs, Control Plans, and validation records with cross-functional teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for defects.
