Job summary

DTC | A Codan Company in Whiteley, Hampshire, is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to own complex electronic designs for wireless mission-critical systems. You will drive architecture, verification, and integration across hardware and software interfaces.

You will work with cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, lead design reviews, and support manufacturing and customer demos. A degree in Electronics and strong experience in high-speed mixed-signal design, FPGA/CPU systems and EMC

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• Experience designing complex digital, analogue and mixed-signal systems
• Experience with high-speed PCB design and multi‑layer boards
• Experience with FPGA/CPU based systems and RF/wireless tech
• Knowledge of EMC, ESD and regulatory testing
• Hands-on board bring-up, debugging, validation and fault finding

Responsibilities

• Architect and design high-speed digital, analogue, and mixed-signal electronic systems
• Develop schematic designs, PCB layouts, and design verification plans
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Support delivery of customer-funded development projects with Project Managers
• Contribute to new product architectures, concept development, simulation and prototyping
• Collaborate with software, FPGA, RF, systems and project teams
• Support manufacturing with production documentation and product introduction
• Provide technical support for customer demonstrations, bids and proposals
• Research emerging technologies and contribute to roadmaps
