Job summary

TTP Group, based at Melbourn near Cambridge, seeks an experienced Lead Electronic Engineer Consultant to steer the design, verification and transfer to manufacture of surgical electronic systems. You will mentor teams, define architectures and lead projects across the full lifecycle in a regulated environment.

Applicants should have 10+ years in electronic engineering, hands-on PCB/ASIC/FPGA work, and strong C/C++ in embedded contexts. Travel for client engagements is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electronic engineering in product development within regulated environments.
• Experience in medical devices or therapeutic/surgical systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to translate complex needs into practical engineering requirements and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronics activity across the full product lifecycle, from concept to manufacture transfer.
• Define system architectures and interfaces, communicating complex topics clearly to teams and clients.
• Lead small to medium projects, owning work packages and balancing risk, cost, time and quality.
• Mentor engineers and build high-performing project teams.
• Support business development and proposals with technical and commercial input.
• Willing to travel for in-person client engagements.
