Job summary

TTP is seeking a highly experienced Electronics Architect to lead the design, verification and transfer to manufacture of advanced surgical electronic systems. You will mentor teams and work with multidisciplinary clients to drive robust, compliant products from concept to market-ready solutions.

Based at our Melbourn site near Cambridge, you’ll own technical direction, communicate clearly with stakeholders and contribute to business development through technically compelling proposals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in electronic engineering within product development, ideally medical devices or regulated sectors.
  • Ability to design complex electronics schematics and PCB layouts for analogue, digital and power circuitry and embedded systems.
  • Strong project management skills with requirements gathering, planning and milestone delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electronic engineering activity across the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacture transfer.
  • Translate client and clinical needs into practical engineering requirements and viable technical solutions.
  • Lead projects or workstreams, balance technical risk, cost, speed, quality and regulatory considerations.
  • Act as a trusted technical authority defining system architectures and communicating complex topics.
  • Review scope and provide guidance to strengthen technical quality and design rigour.
  • Support business development with technical and commercial insights for proposals.
  • Mentor engineers and build high-performing project teams.
