Job summary

TTP, based in Melbourn near Cambridge, seeks a Lead Electronic Engineer Consultant to drive development of advanced surgical devices from concept through to market readiness. The role combines deep electronics expertise with consultancy delivery and regulatory awareness within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

You will mentor peers, lead projects, and ensure robust design, verification and transfer to manufacture while engaging with clients and stakeholders across engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in electronic engineering within product development.
• Experience with medical devices or highly regulated sectors is preferred.
• Ability to design complex electronics schematics and PCB layouts for analogue, digital and power circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronic engineering activity across the full product lifecycle, from concept to manufacture.
• Translate client and user needs into engineering requirements and viable technical solutions.
• Lead projects and deliver electronics work packages, balancing technical risk, cost, speed, quality and regulatory aspects.
• Act as a trusted technical authority on projects and define system architectures.
• Mentor engineers and support business development and proposal activity.
