Proven track record in analog and digital circuit design, including low-noise signal conditioning.
Hands-on experience with compliance testing and regulatory submissions.
Experience with FPGA development and VHDL/Verilog.

Senior/Principal Electronic Engineer | £50-75k + Share Options & Private Medical | Cambridge | Hybrid

My client is seeking a Senior/Principal Electronic Engineer to join their multidisciplinary R&D team.

You’ll play a pivotal role in developing next-generation technology used in early disease detection and precision medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and validation of electronic systems
Oversee PCB design, schematic capture, and layout using tools such as Altium Designer or KiCAD.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and analytical chemistry teams to deliver integrated product solutions.
Drive compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 60601 standards, ensuring medical device safety and regulatory readiness.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews, design verification, and risk assessments.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support prototyping, DFM, and NPI processes
BEng/MEng in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Proven track record in analog and digital circuit design, including low-noise signal conditioning and power electronics.
Strong understanding of EMC/ESD design principles and hands-on experience with compliance testing.
Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Experience with medical device development and regulatory submissions.
Knowledge of quality management systems and design control processes.
Experience with FPGA development and VHDL/Verilog.
