Job summary

Tioxide, headquartered in Stockton-on-Tees, is seeking an Electrical Technical Authority to provide leadership, governance and assurance for all electrical assets at the Greatham site. The role defines standards, ensures compliance with regulatory and company requirements, maintains asset integrity and supports long-term lifecycle strategies.

The role acts as the technical approver for major electrical decisions, ensures risk is identified and controlled, and supports safe, reliable operation in

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or demonstrable progression toward registration.
• Significant electrical engineering experience in COMAH/chemical or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of HV/LV systems, protection, switchgear and industrial installations.
• Experience with standards, governance systems and engineering best practices.
• Experience leading investigations, reliability initiatives and technical assurance.
• Asset integrity and lifecycle management understanding.
• Experience using SAP PM or CMMS systems.
• Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder skills.
• CEng registration or equivalent HV authorisation experience.
• CompEx accreditation or hazardous area experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as Electrical Technical Authority for the Greatham site and maintain engineering standards.
• Develop and maintain safety, compliance and asset governance across electrical systems.
• Approve engineering designs, scopes and testing requirements for projects.
• Lead reliability improvement, failure investigations and lifecycle planning.
• Provide technical support for capital projects and contractor management.
