Job summary

Tioxide, headquartered in the UK, seeks a seasoned Mechanical Technical Authority to govern all mechanical assets at the Greatham site. You will establish and maintain engineering standards, support COMAH compliance, and drive reliability and lifecycle strategies across the asset base.

In this role you will provide technical leadership, manage integrity programs, and approve maintenance, inspection and deviation decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward it is expected.
• Experience in COMAH, chemical, petrochemical, energy or heavy process industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as Mechanical Technical Authority within the site Technical Authority Framework.
• Own and maintain mechanical engineering standards, specifications and procedures.
• Provide mechanical assurance for COMAH compliance and approve deviations.
• Lead Mechanical Integrity Programme and maintain asset life plans.
• Define maintenance, inspection and performance standards for safety-critical equipment.
• Review and approve MOC activities and deviations from standards.
• Provide input to capital projects and contractor/vendor activities.
• Lead investigations and risk assessments for major accidents and process safety.
