Wolviston Management Services are recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd for an experienced Electrical Technical Authority to join the Site Engineering function at their manufacturing facility in Greatham, Hartlepool.
This is a senior technical position providing site-wide electrical engineering leadership, governance and assurance across Tioxide's electrical assets and infrastructure.
Acting as the recognised site Electrical Technical Authority, you will define engineering standards, maintain electrical asset integrity, provide technical approval for significant engineering decisions and ensure electrical risks are effectively managed throughout the asset lifecycle.
The role covers HV and LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, drives, UPS systems, protection systems, hazardous area compliance, electrical safety and long-term asset lifecycle management.
You will be Degree or HND qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with Chartered Engineer status or demonstrable progression towards professional registration.
You should have significant electrical engineering experience gained within a COMAH, chemical, process manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
Strong technical knowledge of HV and LV power systems, switchgear, transformers, electrical protection and industrial electrical installations is essential, together with a strong understanding of electrical engineering legislation, standards and safe working practices.
You should also have experience developing engineering standards and governance systems, leading complex technical investigations, improving electrical reliability and managing asset integrity and lifecycle strategies.
Experience using SAP PM or an equivalent CMMS is required.
Particularly relevant additional experience would include Senior Authorised Person/HV authorisation, CompEx or hazardous area engineering, protection coordination, power system studies, major capital projects, brownfield modifications and process control or instrumentation interfaces
