Job summary

Westwood Recruitment in Manchester is seeking an experienced Small Works Contract Manager to oversee electrical small works projects across client sites. You will coordinate engineers, manage workloads, monitor progress, budgets and safety, and act as a key point of contact for clients to ensure timely, profitable delivery.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to juggle multiple jobs, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing electrical small works or similar service-based projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and building services.
• Experience coordinating engineers and managing multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Strong commercial and organisational skills.
• Confident dealing directly with clients and managing relationships.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate electrical small works projects from start to completion.
• Coordinate field engineers, scheduling, workloads and resource allocation.
• Monitor job progress and ensure works are completed on time and to the required standard.
• Liaise with clients, providing updates and resolving any issues.
• Monitor budgets, performance and KPIs to ensure commercial targets are met.
• Review engineers' reports and identify/pricing remedial works.
• Monitor client portals and ensure all job and compliance information is kept up to date.
• Prepare reports and documentation relating to completed works.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements and industry standards.
• Support and develop engineers to maintain safe and productive working practices.
