Job summary

EGIS is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the UK North region to design, plan and deliver projects from feasibility through completion. You will lead project teams, manage contracts, and ensure adherence to Grid standards and licence obligations.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in electricity distribution or transmission, with proven ability to handle multiple large-scale projects (£5m+). It is a hybrid position with regular site visits across the North.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering Project Manager activities in electricity distribution/transmission.
• Experience managing projects valued in excess of £5m.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; HNC or equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification in safety management.
• Experience working on CDM notifiable projects.

Responsibilities

• Use and comply with client procedures, business systems and data/asset systems.
• Undertake site investigations and develop compliant engineering solutions and designs.
• Produce firm cost proposals, quotations, and validated estimates for connection offers.
• Lead project teams and meetings; manage stakeholders and customer engagement.
• Ensure delivery meets client quality, safety (including CDM duties), and environmental standards.
• Undertake audits, site inspections and contribute to client audit programmes.
• Identify and manage project risks and resource requirements.
• Maintain client operational authorisations for substation access and supervision.
