Job summary

Egis Group via Omnia Projects in the UK is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager with 10+ years’ experience to design, plan and deliver project works from feasibility through to completion for electricity transmission and distribution. You will lead project teams, manage cost forecasts, and ensure CDM compliance and safety standards.

The hybrid role spans home, client sites and Omnia Projects offices across the North East region, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience delivering Project Engineer activities in electricity distribution and/or transmission.
• Strong technical knowledge across distribution asset classes (cables, overhead lines, substations, civils) up to 66kV.
• Experience managing major projects and high-volume workstreams, typically >£5m.
• CDM familiarity and safety/compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Use client procedures and data/asset systems; ensure compliant engineering solutions.
• Undertake site investigations and develop compliant designs.
• Produce cost proposals, quotations and validated offers.
• Manage equipment, plant and supplier interfaces; review designs and tenders.
• Lead project teams and meetings; manage stakeholders and client engagement.
• Ensure delivery meets quality, safety, and environmental standards.
